How to Use

Proper technique makes all the difference — especially with curly, knot-prone coats.

Step 1 — Section the Coat

Work in small sections rather than brushing the whole coat at once.

This ensures you’re reaching down to the base of the coat where knots form — not just brushing the surface.

Step 2 — Use the Slicker Brush First

Gently brush through each section using the slicker brush.

  • Use light, short strokes
  • Start from the ends and work your way up
  • Focus on loosening tangles, not forcing them out

Step 3 — Follow with the Metal Comb

Once brushed, run the comb through the same section.

  • If the comb glides through, the section is fully detangled
  • If it catches, go back with the brush and repeat

This step ensures no hidden knots are left behind.

Step 4 — Repeat Across the Coat

Work your way through the entire coat section by section.

Pay extra attention to high-friction areas:

  • Behind the ears
  • Under the legs
  • Around the collar area
  • Tail base
